FELVO

You post it, you choose, you confirm.

Felvo is a platform, not an agency. You post what you need, verified helpers nearby apply, and your money stays with us until you say the visit happened.

How it works

How Felvo works

Everything runs through the app, and you stay in charge of every step. You choose the helper, you set the rate and you confirm the visit before anyone gets paid.

  1. Post what you need
    1

    Post what you need

In the app you describe the help, the address and the time, and you set the hourly rate yourself. Posting is free.

  2. Helpers nearby respond
    2

    Helpers nearby respond

Verified helpers in the area see your request and apply. You read their profile and reviews, and you choose who comes.

  3. You pay, and we hold it
    3

You pay, and we hold it

You pay through the app when you choose a helper. We hold the money until the visit has happened, so nothing is paid up front.

  4. The helper clocks in at your door

The helper clocks in at your door

Clocking in only works within 250 metres of the address, so you can see they really turned up, and for how long.

What you can expect

Simple, and in your hands

No intake calls and no waiting on a coordinator. Everything happens in the app, at the moment that suits you.

You choose, not us

You read the profile and reviews of everyone who applies, and you decide who comes into the home.

Clear arrangements

What help, at what times and within what boundaries. Everything clear, in black and white.

Nothing locks you in

No subscription and no minimum. Post a request when you need one, and cancel for a full refund any time before the helper clocks in.

Are you a helper and want to know how it works for you?

Making a profile, verifying yourself, applying to jobs nearby and getting paid: we explain it step by step on the helpers page.

For helpers
What it costs

Clear rates, agreed up front

You decide the hourly rate when you post a request, and you see the full amount before you pay a penny. Felvo adds a small service fee on top, shown to you up front.

What you get

  • No subscription, and posting a request is free
  • You set the hourly rate yourself when you post
  • Full refund if you cancel before the helper clocks in
  • The helper is only paid once you confirm the visit
Helpers are self-employed and set their own expectations too, so a request with a fair rate gets more replies.

Questions families ask us

Can't find your question? Email us at hello@felvo.uk and we'll answer personally.

No. Felvo is not a care provider and does not offer medical care. Helpers assist with practical and social things: company, shopping, dog walking, light tasks, cooking and going along to appointments. For medical care, nursing or personal care, please contact a home care service or your GP.

No, you do. You post what you need in the app, helpers nearby apply, and you pick the one you want from their profile and reviews. Nobody is assigned to you, and you are never obliged to accept anyone.

It means the helper has proved who they are: an ID scan and a selfie through an accredited verification service, and a UK bank account in their own name before they can be paid. It does not mean we have interviewed them, taken up references or run a DBS check, because we don't do those things. Helpers can upload a DBS or first aid certificate themselves, which we check by hand and show on their profile. You judge the person; we make sure they are a real, traceable one.

The helper clocks in on their phone at the address, and that only works within 250 metres of it. You see the arrival and leaving time in the app, and you confirm the visit yourself before any money is released.

You pay through the app at the moment you choose a helper. We hold that money until you confirm the visit took place, and the helper is paid straight after that. If you cancel before the helper has clocked in, you get the full amount back.

Yes. After a visit you can mark someone as a regular helper. New requests then go straight to them, or to all your regular helpers so whoever is free can take it. You can also set a visit to repeat every week.

You can report a problem from the visit itself, and report or block someone from the chat. We look at every report, hold the payment while we do, and remove accounts that do not belong on Felvo. Felvo is an intermediary and not a party to the arrangement, so for anything urgent or unsafe, contact the emergency services first.

We are starting in Sheffield, around Broomhill, Crookes, Fulwood, Ranmoor and Ecclesall. Live elsewhere in the city or in South Yorkshire? Email us, because we open up new areas based on where people are asking.

No. Helpers do not give or manage medication and do not carry out medical or personal care tasks such as washing, dressing or lifting. That boundary is deliberate and it is in our terms.

Free to post, free to walk away

Post what you need and see who replies.

Posting a request costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You only pay once you have read the replies and picked someone yourself.
