Homework
Homework help in Sheffield
Not a tutor and not a test. Someone sitting next to them at the kitchen table who has the patience for it, and who did the same exams a few years ago.

What a helper does
- Reading practice and spellings
- Maths that has stopped making sense
- Revision in the run-up to exams
- Getting started, which is often the hard part
- A short message afterwards to say how it went
Where the line sits
Felvo is not a care provider. Helpers never give medication, wash, dress or lift anyone, and they are not medically trained.
Helpers are not qualified teachers and do not follow a school curriculum.
What we checkHomework help in Sheffield and South Yorkshire
We are starting around Broomhill, Crookes, Fulwood, Ranmoor and Ecclesall, so a helper is usually a short walk or cycle away. Live elsewhere in the city? Email us at hello@felvo.uk, because we open up new areas based on where people are asking.
Questions families ask us
Can't find your question? Email us at hello@felvo.uk and we'll answer personally.
No. Felvo is not a care provider and does not offer medical care. Helpers assist with practical and social things: company, shopping, dog walking, light tasks, cooking and going along to appointments. For medical care, nursing or personal care, please contact a home care service or your GP.
No, you do. You post what you need in the app, helpers nearby apply, and you pick the one you want from their profile and reviews. Nobody is assigned to you, and you are never obliged to accept anyone.
It means the helper has proved who they are: an ID scan and a selfie through an accredited verification service, and a UK bank account in their own name before they can be paid. It does not mean we have interviewed them, taken up references or run a DBS check, because we don't do those things. Helpers can upload a DBS or first aid certificate themselves, which we check by hand and show on their profile. You judge the person; we make sure they are a real, traceable one.
The helper clocks in on their phone at the address, and that only works within 250 metres of it. You see the arrival and leaving time in the app, and you confirm the visit yourself before any money is released.
You pay through the app at the moment you choose a helper. We hold that money until you confirm the visit took place, and the helper is paid straight after that. If you cancel before the helper has clocked in, you get the full amount back.
Yes. After a visit you can mark someone as a regular helper. New requests then go straight to them, or to all your regular helpers so whoever is free can take it. You can also set a visit to repeat every week.
You can report a problem from the visit itself, and report or block someone from the chat. We look at every report, hold the payment while we do, and remove accounts that do not belong on Felvo. Felvo is an intermediary and not a party to the arrangement, so for anything urgent or unsafe, contact the emergency services first.

No. Helpers do not give or manage medication and do not carry out medical or personal care tasks such as washing, dressing or lifting. That boundary is deliberate and it is in our terms.
Post what you need and see who replies.
Posting a request costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You only pay once you have read the replies and picked someone yourself.
